Extending Our Reach with the Mobile Market

Updated: Apr 7

At the Arlington Community Food Bank, we constantly seek innovative ways to ensure that every individual in our community has access to nutritious food. Our Mobile Market initiative is a testament to this commitment. This program is tailored to cater to community members who may find it challenging to visit our food bank. Through the Mobile Market, we take the food to them, ensuring that no one has to choose between keeping the lights on or feeding their children.

The Mobile Market operates on a bi-weekly schedule, making stops at various locations to distribute food. Here's how our schedule looks:

1st and 3rd weeks of each month:

  • The Villas at Lakewood: 16800 27th Ave NE, Marysville (West of Costco) - 1st & 3rd Tuesdays 11am-12pm

  • The Vintage Apartments in Arlington

Arlington: 625 Stillaguamish Ave - 1st & 3rd Tuesdays 2-3pm

  • Oso Fire Station: 21824 W A-530 - 1st & 3rd Wednesdays 4-5pm

2nd and 4th weeks of each month:

  • Stilly Valley Center: 18308 SP Blvd - 2nd & 4th Tuesdays 11am-12pm

  • Cedar Pointe Apartments: 17309 - 40th Ave Ne - 2nd & 4th Tuesdays 2-3pm

We couldn’t have launched this initiative without the collaborative effort of Arlington High School Students, the City of Arlington, SMARTCAP, and Pivotal Construction. Together, we purchased a refrigerated mobile food pantry, enabling us to improve our services to the community significantly.

We're also on the lookout for volunteers to drive and operate during mobile market hours. If you're interested in participating in our Mobile Market Volunteer Program, contact us at info@arlingtonfoodbank.org.

Your support is instrumental in keeping this service running. To continue assisting us in this innovative and essential project, consider donating.

Your contribution goes a long way in helping us combat hunger in our community.

Together, let’s keep the wheels of compassion rolling, reaching more community members, and making a substantial difference in our fight against hunger.
